Rugby star has €440k reserve

Irish rugby star, Geordan Murphy, who announced his retirement this week from professional rugby, can console himself with his firm sitting on a cash pile of €440,000.

Accounts filed by the full-back’s firm, Geordan Murphy Ltd show the firm had a cash pile of £373,152 at the end of June last.

The figures show the firm’s accumulated profits increased by £48,778 to £306,130 in the 12 months.
