Cornmarket to close Cork call centre

Financial services company Cornmarket, which focuses on public sector employees, has decided to close its Cork call centre with 18 jobs to be transferred to its Dublin office.

A spokesperson for the company said that they could not justify operating the two offices, so they had taken the decision to amalgamate the two offices.

“It is hard to justify having two separate call centres in Dublin and Cork so we are bring the two together and we’ll be offering all 18 staff in the Cork centre the opportunity to relocate to the combined centre in Dublin together with a relocation package or even on a trial basis.
