Fall in number of companies going out of business

The number of companies going out of business, or needing court protection to survive is falling.

New figures show 493 cases of business failures in the first four months of 2013; nearly 100 less than during the same period last year.

Updated statistics published yesterday by corporate recovery and insolvency specialists, Kavanagh-Fennell detail a 16% year-on-year decline in business failure rates, between the start of January and the end of April, on the 587 number recorded in 2012.
