Insurance broker to grow workforce to 200
The first phase of the expansion strategy will see the insurance broker open a new office in Cork, creating eight new roles in sales and advisory in May.
The company was founded six years ago and has trebled in size since its launch.
It now employs 170 people.
The brokers, which initially started out as an online outfit, has seen the need to create a space for face-to-face interactions with customers.
Chill Insurance CEO Padraig Lynch said that the online buying of financial products is not for everyone.
He is hoping that the new offices will help tap into a new market of clients.
“Insurance can be a complex issue, and it is important that customers get the right cover.
“Buying online does not suit some people.
“However, speaking to one of our agents in-store or over the phone means people are more confident they have the right policy, and understand exactly what they are covered for,” he said.
The company already offers motor, home, travel, and life policies, as well as commercial cover for business through its Blackrock, Dublin-based call-centre.
As part of the expansion of its Cork business, Chill Insurance recently announced a three-year sponsorship deal with Cork’s football and hurling inter-county teams from minor to senior level.
The new Cork store will join outlets in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, The Swords Pavilions, the Square Tallaght, and Donaghmede Shopping Centre.
The 100% Irish-owned company is now one of the largest and fastest growing insurance brokers in Ireland.
