Tech giant to recruit for new Irish facility

Tech giant Qualcomm is to establish its first major Irish facility in Cork with an initial team of up to 100 people, with the potential to scale up to several hundred jobs in the medium term.

Yesterday, Qualcomm posted its first batch of Irish job openings on its website. All the jobs are to be based in “Cork, Ireland” and it is understood the “touchdown” team will be based in the Citygate complex in Mahon, which is already home to SolarWinds, McAfee, Big Fish Games and Dell.

Jobs seekers are informed “Qualcomm is looking to grow its Irish workforce with the addition of IT staff who will support Qualcomm’s global operations teams worldwide in the delivery of best-in-class IT solutions”.
