May 31 deadline for young farmers to apply for FBD competition

Young farmers have until May 31 to apply or be nominated for Macra na Feirme’s FBD Young Farmer of the Year competition, county winners going on to the September all-Ireland final.

Entrants are judged on farm business initiative and innovation, farm efficiency and enterprise quality, farm safety and environmental protection awareness, as well as agricultural knowledge and community involvement.
