Conrad Hotel back in profit

The exclusive five-star Conrad Hotel in Dublin returned to profit in 2012, two years ahead of schedule after four years of successive losses.

Newly filed accounts for the firm behind the 191-bed hotel — Earlsfort Centre Hotel Proprietors Ltd — also show a 10% increase in revenues.

Developer Bernard McNamara purchased a 45% share in the business in 2007 and the filings show that the Co Clare man retained his substantial shareholding in the business at the end of the accounting period, up to Dec 31, 2011.
