Musgrave and Debenhams sign €6m contract
Musgrave will supply 600 product lines to Debenhams’s 11 Irish stores, four of which are in Northern Ireland. The chain has a range of in-store cafés and restaurants in its outlets.
The deal includes chilled, frozen and dry goods. Local suppliers include scones from O’Keeffe’s bakery in Cork, and freshly prepared salads from Wonderfoods in North Co Dublin, both produced exclusively for Debenhams.
Musgrave Wholesale Partners managing director, Noel Keeley, said: “We have supplied Debenhams with chilled, frozen and ambient foods for nine years and we are delighted to extend our excellent relationship for another three years.”
Musgrave supplies Debenhams with products such as beef, chicken, turkey, cod, tuna, cooked ham, bacon loins, sausages, rashers, eggs, chips, oils, milk, butter, baking ingredients, fruit and veg and coffee beans.
John Baker of Debenhams said: “We look to work with local Irish suppliers, so Musgrave Wholesale Partners is an ideal partner and has worked directly with suppliers on our behalf to develop product ranges specifically for our customers.”
Part of the Musgrave Group, Musgrave Wholesale Partners offers a delivered foodservice business with a full range of dry goods, chilled and frozen food products to the hospitality and professional catering sector.
