Companies to recruit 400 staff

SuperValu is aiming to create 300 jobs this year, while a Waterford call centre is looking to recruit 100 staff.

SuperValu’s expansion drive will push job creation levels at the wider Musgrave Group to 700, and comes on the back of a strong 2012 performance which saw sales rise by 5%. SuperValu employs 12,000 people in its shops.

The supermarket chain is to invest €20m across its various franchise partners this year, with three new outlets to open and a further 40 shops being either extended or refurbished.
