Market declines in line with peers

Shares in Dublin declined slightly again in line with most other European bourses, despite having shown sharp gains during early trading as a number of key companies reported positive results.

The Iseq Index closed down 13.28 points to 3,516.72.

In the financial sector, the three listed Irish banks had mixed fortunes, with Bank of Ireland and AIB dropping 0.3c and 0.1c to 13.6c and 6.5c respectively. Permanent TSB Group Holdings bucked the trend with a rise of 0.3c to 3.8c.
