Kylemore boosts turnover by 29%

Catering service providers, the Kylemore Services Group (KSG), said that turnover at the company had increased by 29% for the year ended Mar 2012.

The company enjoyed pre-tax profits of €1m on a turnover of €39.1m in 2012, up from the €730,000 in profits recorded in 2011.

Chief executive of KSG, Brian Hogan said that the performance during the year was strong and management are confident the foundations have been put in place for continuing growth,

ā€œOur focus has been to develop a differentiated service offering and to use local Irish produce cooked today for today to deliver an innovative fresh food catering solution to clients.

ā€œThis approach has helped fuel the group’s performance and we have seen new business growth across the corporate, healthcare, education and travel sectors delivering turnover and employment growth,ā€ he said.

The company won new contracts across a number of sectors worth €7.7m which helped drive growth.

In the business and industry sectors KSG won contracts valued at €3.3m, education contracts worth €2.4m, and travel contracts worth €0.4m.

The new contracts and the development of a training academy have resulted in an increase in the number of employees from 624 to 733.

ā€œThe opening of our dedicated training facility will also help our employees enhance their culinary and management skills so that we can continue to devise exciting new food concepts and presentation styles, as well as delivering excellence in service standards,ā€ said Mr Hogan.

Last year also saw KSG partner with restaurateur Patrick Guilbaud to launch ā€˜Two and You Dining’, an exciting dining concept aimed at corporate and professional clients.
