Markets sluggish across Europe

Stockmarkets across the eurozone failed to make any headway yesterday, the lack of significant drivers being the main reason, as investors took time out to evaluate their next move.

Shares in Dublin were no different, trading fractionally down to flat as the Iseq closed on 3,463.99, down 17.49 points.

Financial stocks had mixed fortunes. AIB was the biggest mover adding 0.7c to close on 6c. Bank of Ireland was flat on 13.5c While Permanent TSB Group gave back all of last Friday’s gains to close down 0.6c to 3.5c. Insurer FBD Holdings shed 10c to €10.60.
