OmniPay announces 30 jobs as business expands

The firm has begun recruiting and aims to bring the new positions — which will boost its total workforce to nearly 200 people — on stream within the first half of this year. All of the jobs will be housed at OmniPay’s main Dublin office and will cover a variety of roles including project managers, business analysts, systems developers and quality assurance specialists.

Although once part of the Fexco group, OmniPay has been owned by the US payment processing giant, First Data since early last year. The Atlanta-based group had owned nearly 70% of the Irish company since 2006. First Data’s desire to increase its presence in developing markets — specifically Brazil, Russia, India and China — led it to OmniPay and, ultimately, triggering its full takeover option last year.
