One young farmer signing up to Dairygold’s new milk supplier agreement will need to earn over €53,000 pre-tax just to cover his contributions to the co-op over the next six years, says a group of suppliers opposed to the deal.

Farmers hit out at Dairygold’s new milk supplier agreement

Suppliers from Tipperary as well as north, south, and east Cork, gathered in Mitchelstown on Thursday night for a meeting on Dairygold’s proposed Milk Supplier Agreement (MSA).

One attendee was a young Cork farmer, who prefers to remain anonymous, who in the last three years has built his quota up to 500,000 litres.
