World bourses were mixed yesterday.

Mixed mood before final Fed meet

European markets experienced varying fortunes while US markets were slightly ahead in early trading, with the Fed scheduled to meet for the last time in 2012. Markets were tentatively positive on the hopes of further monetary easing before year-end. The Iseq index was 13.32 points off at 3332.52.

Bank shares were mixed. AIB shed 0.1c to 5.1c, while Bank of Ireland was 0.1c better at 12.2c. Permanent TSB Group was flat, closing at 2.2c.
