KBC bank has become the first bank to expand its retailing locations in Ireland since the crash.

The Belgian bank opened a flagship retail office in Dublin city centre yesterday and has announced plans to open further branches in Cork, Limerick, Athlone and Belfast.

CEO of KBC Bank Ireland, John Reynolds, said the Dublin office is the first phase of an expansion programme that will see the bank invest in retail locations in a number of cities in Ireland in the coming years.
