Forty jobs have been created by Sky as it expands its retail store network in Ireland, bringing to 100 the number directly employed.

Head of retail at Sky Ireland, Stephen Butterly, said the investment in the Sky retail store network has seen the number of directly employed staff grow from 60 to over 100, including field based staff and head office support.

“This follows recent commitments by Sky to employ 800 people for its new customer contact centre in Dublin, for which a recruitment drive is currently under way,” he said.
