Eircom’s revenue down €26m as cost cuts continue

Revenue at Eircom has plunged by €26m for the three months to the end of September, or 7% when compared with the same period last year, as the company continues to try and reduce costs.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for Eircom’s first quarter fell by €14m to €124m, down 10% on the same time last year.

Chief executive of the Eircom Group, Herb Hribar, said the company had anticipated the decline in revenues in its business plan.
