The three-day event, which runs from Apr 10-12, offers companies a range of business-focused activities, including a welcoming reception, pre-arranged meetings, an afternoon business conference, a gourmet picnic in the hotel grounds with all food and drink sourced locally, a networking dinner at the Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium, and a closing address by a surprise speaker, each providing an opportunity to make vital contacts.

Cork County Mayor Barbara Murray said there had been huge interest in attending.

“CorkMeet 2013 is a business gathering, networking, and matching event. The primary aim is to assist Cork and Irish business to develop new and successful business networks,” Ms Murray said.

“With 93% of attendees at the last event signalling their intention to attend, interest is extremely high so we advise businesses to register early.”

The event is set to be one of the highlights of the business calendar, according to Cork Chamber chief executive Conor Healy.

“CorkMeet 2013 is one of the highlights of the Cork business calendar as it provides endless opportunities to secure new business contacts,” he said.

“We are delighted to be involved and will be encouraging our members to attend and maximise the business that these three days of activities provide.”

Registration for CorkMeet 2013 is now open and businesses are advised to register their profile and identify the companies they wish to meet by visiting corkmeet.ie.
