Britvic’s Irish revenuedown by nearly 10%

International soft drinks producer, Britvic has said that revenues at its Irish operation fell by 9.6%, to £138.7m (€171m) in its latest financial year.

The British-headquartered company — famous for brands such as Robinson’s and its eponymous juices — is due to publish detailed figures for the 12 months to the end of September at the end of next month.

However, its year-end trading statement, issued yesterday, updated on revenue performance for the year. As expected, the summer withdrawal of the group’s Fruit Shoot product in Britain and mainland Europe, due to a faulty cap giving rise to health fears, negatively affected sales figures.
