Irish investors are becoming more confident about the national economy and their own personal financial situation, according to a study.

However, the latest Investor Barometer, from online bank RaboDirect, also shows a marked decline in optimism concerning the global economy — with just 34% of investors here upbeat about the outlook for the world economy, compared to 57% of respondents to the last edition of the survey in April.

RaboDirect’s latest survey shows that 37% of Irish-based investors are confident about the short-term prospects for Ireland’s economy.
