Internet media giant, AOL Global Operations is to expand its Irish operations with the addition of 35 software engineering jobs over the next year.

The company employs 155 people at its Dublin technology business, which processes billions of impressions which AOL serves daily. The new jobs are high value professional software engineering positions, suitable for candidates with Java, Ruby on Rails, Erlang and C++ in web services and web applications. Opportunities are available for both senior and junior experienced recruits with industry experience, AOL said.

Aengus McClean, senior vice president of global advertising technologies at AOL Global Operations, said yesterday: “This is a very exciting time for AOL and particularly for our expanding operations in Dublin and we’re looking for talented, creative software engineers to join our global team.
