Specialist building firm to create 100 positions

The country’s largest public works construction company — formerly known as Ascon — has begun recruiting and hopes to fill the positions before the end of the year. All of the jobs will be recruited within Ireland.

The company secured a number of public/private partnership (PPP) projects last year — including City Gate Park in Mahon and the Tralee N22/N69 bypass — and this year has won a number of building contracts including the Sutherland School of Law at UCD, the upgrade of the Coleraine-Derry rail line, and projects in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates. It is also set to sign off on two major PPP projects before the end of the year.
