Medical company aiming high

A healthcare solutions company which is aiming to make Ireland a world leader in the medical devices sector has emerged from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

The company, i360medical, formerly known as the Centre for Innovation in Surgical Technology, wants to facilitate emerging companies to develop and commercialise new ideas.

Chief executive Derek Young said that there was an opportunity for Ireland to become a world leader in the medical device sector.
