Graduate wins UCC scholarship to mark UN’s Year of Co-operatives

Rabobank and the Centre for Co-operative Studies, UCC, have jointly offered this scholarship to celebrate 2012, the UN’s International Year of Co-operatives. The UN’s goal is to recognise how co-operative enterprises support poverty reduction, employment generation, and social integration.

The IYC will also highlight the strengths of the co-operative business model as an alternative means of doing business and furthering socioeconomic development.

The Rabobank scholarship covers the full cost of fees for the programme and a stipend to contribute to costs associated with fieldwork research and dissemination of findings for the minor thesis element of the programme.
