Market gains on low volumes

The Irish market gained slightly on low volumes as the London Stock Exchange remained closed for the British bank holiday.

The Iseq index closed the session 15.7 points higher at 3164.10.

In the financial sector AIB was flat at 5c while Bank of Ireland nudged upwards by 0.1c to 8.7c. Permanent TSB Group was 0.5c higher at 3c. Meanwhile, insurance company FBD Holdings dipped by 3c to €8.65.
