Cinema group records profit of €930,000

Smash-hit movies including The Guard and Bridesmaids helped cinema group, Irish Multiplex Cinemas Ltd record pre-tax profits of over €930,000 last year.

Accounts just filed by Irish Multiplex Cinemas Ltd show that the group recorded a marginal decrease in pre-tax profit after the company’s gross profit declined by 10% from €3.3m to €3m in the 12 months to the end of Oct 31, 2011.

The figures, lodged with the Companies Office, show that pre-tax profits declined by 1.6% from €946,645 to €930,940.
