Airlines’ hidden charges curbed

Britain’s Office of Fair Trading is forcing airlines to include debit card surcharges in the headline prices that they advertise.

The move by the OFT follows an investigation by the consumer-rights group Which? who found that the largest European low- cost operator, Ryanair, was charging a surcharge of €15 on debit card transactions.

A spokesperson for Ryanair said they have resolved all issues with the OFT and were continuing to offer passengers good value.
