The new Rhyno Farm Store is located at Church St, Castleisland, Co Kerry. Rhyno Mills is also headquartered in Castleisland. The Farm Store has outlets in Bandon and Belgooly, Co Cork.

The partners say this joint venture will result in a more comprehensive range of products and better value for the customers. New jobs will also be created.

Rhyno Mills is led by managing director Paudie O’Connor and store manager Dermot Lyne. Hugh Sisk is owner and managing director of The Farm Store. Mark Collins is the first appointee at the new store.

Mr Sisk said: “We’re delighted to bring our two companies, both with such great expertise in our respective fields, together to create a one-stop shop for farmers from all over Kerry and beyond. There is a huge drive within our business to discover new products and better quality products that will meet the needs of the modern farmer.”

Key products at the new store will include silage covers made from 100% virgin blown plastic. This contains no recycled material, ensuring no weak spots or tears, improving silage preservation. Rhyno Farm Store will also stock Calfhage, a complete feed to enable calves to develop rumen quickly and reduce scours.

The store carries a full range of agricultural hardware, sprays, dairy hygiene products, feed, seed, fencing and grassland chemicals.
