Professionals with niche skills to see salaries rise 12%

Professionals across the country could soon see their salaries increase by up to 12% as the demand for niche skills rises.

According to research carried out by Hays recruitment, the professional employment market has seen a significant rise in salaries.

Newly-qualified accountants and credit specialists can look forward to a 12% salary premium compared to 12 months ago, while increased demand has led to an average 10% rise in salaries across the IT sector. Even in areas where there is no scarcity of skills, salaries have reached a plateau.
