The site is owned by Treasury Holding’s Real Estate Opportunities (REO) but is under the control of Nama and Lloyds bank

The south-west London site drew interest from British, Irish, US and Asian bidders, said the person, who declined to be identified because the information is private. Some of the offers are unconditional.

Chelsea, the Premier League team owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, would use the site for the construction of a new 60,000-seat stadium, the soccer team said on its website yesterday.

This week saw Treasury launch legal action against Nama to seek compensation over its decision to appoint receivers to the site.
