Fresh capital from Enterprise Ireland’s early-stage investment initiative is to create more than 340 jobs by the end of 2014, 143 of which should come on stream this year.

The Halo Business Angel Network — a joint initiative between Enterprise Ireland and its cross-border counterpart, InterTradeIreland — invested €12m across 29 companies during 2011.

That investment will create 344 jobs over the next two years, the network said yesterday. Last year’s combined investment also represented an 18% increase on 2010 levels.
