Market loses some recent gains

Shares continued to ease from recent gains yesterday, thus following the trend on the majority of European stock markets.

The ISEQ closed down 16.88 points at 3,166.84.

Financial stocks were weak, with the three main banks in the red. AIB lost 0.1c to 13.2c, Bank of Ireland was down 1c to 13.8c, while Irish Life & Permanent continued the trend slipping 0.6c to 5.1c.
