Celestica increases revenues to €26m

JOB numbers at the manufacturing company Celestica have rebounded after the firm recorded a doubling of revenues in 2010 and a return to profit.

In February 2009, Canadian-owned Celestica Ireland Ltd announced it was laying off 80 workers at its Ballybrit plant in Galway due to a reduction in activity.

However, new accounts filed by the company show employee numbers increased by 42% from 185 to 264 in 2010. This followed the company increasing its revenues by 85% from €14.1 million to €26m as the firm recorded a return to profit.
