Market gains for sixth straight day

THE ISEQ yesterday closed at 2,865.35 up 28.60 points — the sixth successive day delivering a rise, though on reduced trading.

Most of the world’s main stockmarkets wound down early for Christmas yesterday.

The share values of top Irish companies such as CRH, Diageo, Readymix, Tesco Ireland and Merrion Pharmaceutical all stayed as they had been 24 hours earlier.
