U2-owned company grows cash to €4m

THE cash pile at a company controlled by the four members of U2 increased almost fivefold to €4 million last year, new figures show.

According to accounts just filed by U2 Ltd, they show that the company’s cash last year increased from €822,912 to €4m in the 12 months to the end of December last.

Figures just lodged with the Companies Office show that the company also returned to profit last year, recording a pre-tax profit of €46,571 after the company recorded a pre-tax loss of €135 in 2009.
