The owners, the Campbell Bewley Group Limited, said that the financial performance of the cafe remains undermined by the “excessive rental levels established during the unsustainable property bubble”.

Sales at the Campbell Bewley Group for 2010 amounted to €77.7 million, an 8% increased on 2009, according to accounts just filed. Pre-tax profits for 2010 of €1.7m were in line with 2009.
