Estate agency returns to the black

SHERRY FitzGerald swung back into the black last year, posting a pre-tax profit of just over €2.52 million, up from a loss of just over €5m in 2009.

Accounts for the country’s largest estate agency filed with the Companies Office also show a 22% increase in annual turnover to €43.2m.

Operating profit amounted to €3.2m, compared to an operating loss of €3.93m in 2009. Gross profit was up 34% to €16.9m.
