Irish Vodafone users sent 1.46bn texts last quarter

VODAFONE’S Irish customers sent 1.46 billion texts in the last quarter, double the European average.

Irish customers sent an average of 220 texts in the three months to the end of September compared with 111 on average across Europe.

The average revenue per user at the mobile operator was down 0.9%, however, to €32.60, according to the latest Vodafone Ireland interim management statement.
