Game developer enjoys revenues of $70m

THE main Irish arm of social network game developer giant Zynga recorded pre-tax profits of just under $1 million (€728,000) on revenues of $70 million in its first year of operation in Ireland.

Zynga Ireland Ltd established its Irish base in Dublin in March of last year and the figures show that in the first nine months it generated $70.1m in revenues and recorded $922,358 in pre-tax profits.

The San Francisco firm was established in 2007 and the opening of the Dublin office was only the second opened outside the US.
