TalkTalk workers still not officially told of job losses

WORKERS at the Waterford call centre TalkTalk have still not received official confirmation of their job losses — effective from tomorrow.

Up to 575 workers were advised, four weeks ago, the plug had been pulled on the company’s Irish base and they would be made redundant in 30 days.

A consultation period for redundancy terms officially ends on Saturday but most workers believe they will be officially laid off on Monday.
