National Organic Week highlights growing value of important sector

NINE out of every 10 consumers bought organic produce in the past year, according to Bord Bia research.

According to research conducted in May, more than 1.5m Irish adults had purchased organic food in the previous week. And 73% of consumers are either very likely or fairly likely to purchase organic food in the future.

These consumer responses were unveiled to coincide with National Organic Week, which runs from now until Sunday.
