Jobs availability increases 50% on August 2010

LAST month saw a near 50% year-on-year increase in job availability, but a marginal decline in the number of people looking for work.

The latest monthly employment monitor from the Irish office of international recruitment specialist Morgan McKinley shows that the level of jobs on the market fell by 2% between July and August of this year.

On a month-by-month basis, the number of people looking for jobs in August was up by 19%, but down 1% when compared to the same month last year.
