Mortgage arrears accelerate further

MORTGAGE arrears at KBC bank’s Irish operations are continuing to accelerate, as it warns of tough times ahead in Ireland.

The number of loans that have been in default for more than three months hit 13.3% last quarter.

The bank had previously said it expected such arrears to peak at 14%.
