Nualight signs €2m deal with British chain

NUALIGHT, the Cork-based LED lighting firm, has signed a near €2 million deal with British-based supermarket firm the Co-operative.

The company’s technology will be installed in freezers and ice-cream cabinets in 800 Co-operative stores. The value of the deal has not been revealed but is estimated at just over €1.8m.

The energy and carbon manager at the Co-operative, Alex Pitman, said the motivation for introducing Nualight’s LED lighting solution|s to stores arose primarily from the company’s commitment to sustainable retailing practices.
