ONE of the co-founders of Facebook is being tipped as a speaker for the next Dublin Web Summit — which is one of the largest tech events in Ireland and Britain.

Organisers are reluctant to release details too soon of the line-up of speakers, which previously included Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, one of the YouTube founders, Chad Hurley and Niklas Zennstrom, who set up Skype.

It is expected someone “very close to Facebook from the start” will speak at the event in October. This could likely be Eduardo Saverin, a co-founder of Facebook. Yesterday, it was announced that some of China and India’s top tech entrepreneurs, chief executives and investors will take part in the October Web Summit.
