Freight firm forecasts further growth

THE Independent Express Group — one of Ireland’s leading freight and logistics service providers — has forecast further growth, saying that its turnover for the current year should rise by about €2 million, to €18m.

The group, which oversees successful brands The Pallet Network (TPN) and Independent Express Cargo, yesterday announced a total group turnover of €16.1m for 2010 — the third consecutive year in which it has seen year-on-year revenue growth.

In addition to that, the group & has seen a 9% to date year-on-year increase in activity for 2011. The group employs just over 50 people at its headquarters in Blanchardstown.
