Whiskey producer The Irishman signs €1.1m European distribution deals

WHISKEY producer The Irishman has secured distribution deals worth €1.1 million in Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

The Carlow-based distiller signed two of these deals at this week’s Vinexpo, a trade fair in Bordeaux, France. Its contracts with Schlumberger in Germany and its sister company in Switzerland, Dettling and Marmot, follow another recent deal with Schlumberger in Austria.

The Irishman chief executive Bernard Walsh said: “Having our brand portfolio under one roof (ie one group) across three neighbouring territories is strategically very important.
