UPS sites in Britain ‘temporarily offline’

London: United Parcel Service, the world’s biggest package-delivery company, said some websites in Britain are “temporarily offline” because of unspecified issues that arose during a scheduled security review.

Six facilities, including UPS’s main air hub in the East Midlands, are still processing packages and flights are still going into and out of the country, said Susan Rosenberg, a spokeswoman for Atlanta-based UPS. She declined to say what prompted the partial shutdown of operations, other than saying there wasn’t a security incident.
