IFA delegation stages Kildare Street sit-in over AEOS Natura payment

The sit-in came after Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney told them he will look again at increasing the AEOS Natura payment from €75 to €150 per hectare, but would not make any commitment until the Government’s ongoing expenditure review is completed at the end of July.

The minister also explained that the EU Commission would have to approve a re-submitted AEOS scheme.
